Have AI watch your blind spots

Reference data is usually maintained where its absence stops work. It decays where retirement creates no immediate alarm. AI may make the search for that decay cheap enough to do before it becomes an expensive correction.

Use AI to fix the data

The received wisdom says that banks must fix their data before building up AI solutions. Thirteen years of Basel Committee reporting suggest following this advice is a Sisyphean task, because the data never gets right.

Puzzle experiment - the data

We gave sixteen vision-capable frontier models the same block-puzzle screenshot and the same instructions. Only three actually solved it — here is who, and what it cost.

Puzzled by AI

I gave sixteen of the most capable AI models a Block Blast! puzzle, and only three solved it. A close look at what worked, what did not, and why fluent answers can hide a misread board.
